Visa support
At the Russian Consulate
The next step after getting your Visa Invitation is to receive
the visa itself at the Consulate.
It is impossible to give full and updated information about every Russian
Consulate all over the world. Here we shall give some recommendations that
will help you to get your visa with minimal efforts at any Consulate.
1. Contact the Consulate to:
- find out the time frame for processing the visa and the amount of Consular
fees;
- find out how to submit documents to the Consulate;
- find out what documents you have to prepare;
- find out what forms of payment the Consulate accepts.
We suggest that you contact your local Consulate
before ordering your Visa Invitation, in order to get some useful information.
2. Prepare all the documents and fill out the Consular Application.
In all cases, you have to present the following papers at the Consulate:
- Visa Invitation (according to the chosen visa type);
- Consular Application (filled in and signed by you);
- Copy of your passport's main page;
- Passport;
Important: The passport should be valid
for 3 months after the expiry date of the visa.
- Three photos (size approximate 3*4 cm or 1.5*2 inch);
Important: The photos should be matte-finished,
and not glossy, because a seal will be put on them!
Important: Any Consulate has the right
to invite you for the interview or refuse to issue visa without declaring
the reasons.
3. Submit the documents to the Consulate.
4. Pay your Consular fee.
5. Get the documents and the visa back from the Consulate.
6. Check that the information in the visa is correct.
Once you receive your visa, check whether all the
information is correct before leaving the Consulate. All mistakes should be
corrected immediately, because they can bring about serious problems once
in Russia.
Important: Mistakes in your visa cannot
be corrected after your arrival in Russia.
